SAN FRANCISCO DECORATOR SHOWHOUSE 2012 — ENTRY GARDEN AND PORTICO
How can an elegant, traditional entrance to a stately San Francisco mansion be re-imagined to be greener and more welcoming, if not otherworldly? Living Green, partnering with Plants On Walls, created a southern exposed vertical mélange of succulents and coppery oxalis, that morphs into a private shady fern grotto. Add to that the pristine white marble floors that one would find in a rajah's palace, or in the fabled Moroccan Casbah Tamadot, that the late and great maestro, Luciano Tempo so skillfully restored. Throw in fantastical light fixtures and a pair of exquisitely carved Indian elephants to welcome the weary traveler. Enter the Casbah!
The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is widely considered to be the West Coast's premier design showhouse event, renowned for featuring the work of the region's top interior and landscape designers. All funds raised through the Decorator Showcase go directly to support the San Francisco University High School (UHS) Financial Aid Program.
The 2012 San Francisco Decorator Showcase is located at 2020 Jackson Street (between Laguna and Octavia Streets) and runs April 28 — May 28, 2012. Tickets are available at the door. Go here for more information about the Showcase.
