Owner Davis Dalbok has been developing his 24-acre tropical dream garden compound on the Big Island of Hawaii for seven years. The three acres surrounding the house and entry drive is a stunning botanical garden collection of rare palms, cycads, bromeliads, orchids, and colorful tropical companion plantings. The entire site is infused with world cultural elements from Living Green.
Living Green
was invited to participate in the first Landscape
Garden Show at Fort Mason, San Francisco. Successive
garden shows include the memorable Mayan
Ruin Revisited, the magical Rainforest
for Robin Williams, and most recently, A Moment for the Spirit, the recreation of a Burmese mountain shrine as
a subtropical Bay Area garden.
The Fairfax, California project
has been three years in the making. Naturally,
Davis elected to develop the garden first, putting
off the interior remodel in favor of the spacious
pool terrace, lotus koi pond, and surrounding
subtropical landscape. The pool was published
in the May 2000 issue of Sunset Magazine.
Living Green has been installing beautiful interiorscapes in residences and businesses around the Bay Area for over 20 years. Our design staff analyzes every aspect of color, tone, style, composition and environment before creating the unique installation that is perfectly suited to each client.
Owners and principal designers, Davis Dalbok and Tim O'Shea, collaborate on several landscape projects per year in and around the Bay Area. These collaborative projects represent a fusion of unique Pacific Rim-styled sensibilities, combined with astute regard for clients' needs and the given parameters of each site.
