San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2014 - 50 Shades of Green
Staged by Davis Dalbok, Brandon Pruett and Lindsey Graves
We fell in love with this classic english style garden with it's borderless layers of green. We wanted to respect the bones of this mature garden created in the early 1900's. Our goal was to create an authentic, well tended, lived in space. Our plant selection was focused on what was in bloom and would bud for the duration of the show. Though the garden was very traditional, we wanted to feel eclectic and well traveled. The McKinnon and Harris bench ties it all together with its very traditional design but modern execution with the pop of color and flowly lines, this piece opened the door for us to use playful pieces like the copper oversized Robert Kuo snail. We took our design cue from the house, starting with the collection of Tunisian and Spanish terra cotta olive oil jar, that showcased a red story by tying in with the aged brick of the house and the burgundy of the euphoriams throughout the garden. All garden elements can be found at Living Green Design's showroom garden center.
